I started my marketing career while I was a student at Southeastern Louisiana University. While a student, I interned at Island Def Jam Music Group and Roca Wear. During this internship, I had the opportunity to help create marketing and promotions campaigns for the likes of Jay-Z, Rihanna, Rick Ross and Kanye West. I worked closely with the College Promotions Manager on developing strategies that would work best in his market. I hired and managed a team of 20 ambassadors that assisted me in executing the campaigns I created, such as the Kanye West “Graduation” Block Party, Rick Ross concert at Xavier University and Southeastern and the Chrisette Michelle Soiree. My internship exposed me to a great deal of knowledge and unique experiences, which bolstered my desire to pursue a career in marketing.
After matriculating from college, I accepted a job offer at Alloy Media & Marketing, a full service marketing firm based in New York. I created and managed multi-million dollar campaigns (street teams, ad placement, events and branding) from conception to execution. My clients included, but not limited to, Major League Baseball, Nintendo, Clinique, Gallo, US ARMY, Trojan Condoms, Oxygen & Axe Body Spray. While at Alloy, I was able to increase the ROI for my clients by creating marketing and promotions campaigns to reach their target market by doing extensive research and brand testing.
After my time with Alloy, I began working with Max Custom Media where I held a similar role as at Alloy, until I decided to start a company set out to help companies grow by using methods I learned through my many years in the marketing industry. Thus, Prototype Solutions LLC was created (aka Prototype Media & Marketing).
Prototype Media & Marketing, LLC was a grass roots marketing firm that specializes in viable marketing and promotions campaign formulation (online & offline), social media management, budgetary action plan creation, consulting, and branding. Our clients included, but not limited to, McDonalds, New York State Senate and Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts.
